During this tour you will visit two essential neighbourhoods in Granada: the Albaizyn and the Sacromonte. On the one hand, the Alhambra, the Generalife and the Palace of Charles V can be found in the Albaizyn. While you walk through the labyrinth of cobbled narrow streets that are part of this area, you will smell the scent of jasmine and feel Granada's Moorish roots. On the other hand, the Sacromonte is a landmark in Granada for its white cave-houses where local flamenco was born.
The group will go up to the Albaizyn neighbourhood, where the guided tour will begin. Your guide will show you charming places like the Viewpoint of San Nicolás, a cheerful square where you might be able to enjoy the music of a guitar or an improvised handicraft market. On top of that, a beautiful sunset can be seen over Granada and the Alhambra from here. Once you have walked around the Albaizyn, you will walk towards the Sacromonte, well-known for its white cave-houses. This was the area chosen by the gipsy people that accompanied the Catholic Monarchs as they conquered Granada. Your group will visit a typical cave-house so you get to immerse yourself in the birthplace of local flamenco.
Where do travelers go on this tour?: the Albaizyn, the Viewpoint of San Nicolás, the Sacromonte and a cave-house of the Sacromonte.
